Candle Care

Candle care

  • Store your candle in a room temperature location.
  • When lighting your candle for the first time, burn until the wax melts across the entire surface to the side of the container. This helps creates an even burn for the duration of the candles life. Depending on the candle size this could take 4 hours. This sets a memory for the candle and ensures optimal performance and longevity.
  • Be sure to trim the wick to ¼ of an inch each time before burning and remove the wick debris to promote an even burn and stead flame. If your wick struggles to stay lit, it may be due to excessive wick length. Simply use your fingers or a wick trimmer to snap off the blackened portions of the wick, ensuring a clean and efficient burn.
  • If you find that your wick was trimmed too short and the candle struggles to stay lit due to being submerged in a pool of wax, you can troubleshoot the situation. Use a paper towel or napkin to absorb some of the excess wax, creating space for the wick to breathe. Repeat this process until the wick is at an optimal length for a steady burn.
  • Keep the lid on your candle while you’re not using it. This will keep the scent from evaporating and last longer.
  • Burning your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time is a waste. Let your candle cool in between burns so that all the fragrance oil doesn’t float to the top and burn off.
  • Keep the wax pool free from wick trimmings and debris.
  • Please be sure to keep burning candles away from drafts, vents and ceiling fans. This can decrease burn time and compromise the scent throw.
